The streams at H.I.V.E. are four groups that all students must belong to. Each stream specialises in the teaching and training of certain disciplines. The coloring of the students' uniforms tell what stream they are in:
- Alpha stream, which specializes in leadership training
- Henchmen stream, for strong, powerful, but dim students
- Technical stream, for designers and creators of evil technology
- Political/Financial stream, for manipulators of governments and economies
The main characters in the H.I.V.E series mostly belong to the Alpha stream.
